Cis is not a slur, it makes talking easier, if you first grant that trans people exist and are valid. There is nothing pejorative about it, it is a neutral word. Our friend Mr. Butthead doesn’t want a word not loaded with negative implications… as for approaching trans people, I would seriously doubt he has met a single trans person.
