I have been an ally for 2 years. So my experience about being trans is 0. But through my friendships in real life and online with friends people I have learned so much. They are not fast to accept, and I understand, the world is dangerous for them.

The problem for me has been (finding, and) approaching a trans person. So far all the ones I know I have come out to me. It is a wonderful feeling to know that someone trusts you enough to tell you that kind of thing, especially if it’s not public knowledge. The problem for allies and trans people alike in the twenties is finding each other.
